Client Services Associate
Job Description:
A well-established global investment firm in Fairfield County, CT (walk from train), seeks a Client Services Associate to join its Flex SMA Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for a client-focused professional with a strong operational mindset to support the delivery and growth of the firm’s Separately Managed Account (SMA) platform.
In this role, you'll serve as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, helping onboard new relationships, managing account activity, and driving initiatives that improve operational efficiency and client experience. You'll be part of a high-performing group at the intersection of client service, operations, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-touch client support for the firm's Flex SMA platform, including onboarding new RIAs and managing ongoing account activity
- Oversee the daily contributions, withdrawals, and transfers for SMA accounts, ensuring accurate and timely execution
- Collaborate with Legal, Business Development, Portfolio Implementation, and Engineering teams to streamline workflows and optimize account servicing
- Help launch new and complex SMA strategies by coordinating documentation, client communication, and operational setup
- Identify and address inefficiencies across systems and processes, driving scalable and tech-enhanced solutions
- Support strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the operations team
Requirements:
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 3–5 years of experience in asset management, with a focus on client service and operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; project management experience is a plus
- Self-starter with a collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail
