Job Description:

Our financial client is looking to hire a temporary IT Financial Analyst.

Pay Rate up to $25
Location: Remote
Assignment: 3 months +
Hours: EST - normal business hours
Interview process: 1 phone

Description of IT Financial Analyst Job Responsibilities and Duties

Execute month-end financial processing activities, including but not limited to:


Invoice processing: Preparing and tracking IT-related invoices so they are received and processed as needed.
Accruals: Ensuring all expenses are accrued for as needed if not yet processed for the month and making required journal entries
Reclasses: applying expenses where they need to be relocated each month and making the required journal entries.
Recurring Journal Entries: Maintaining all recurring journal entries to keep current
Assist in processing IT related Purchase Orders
Oracle reporting: Running routine reports to support operations

  • Analyze results of studies, reports, and analyses. Prepare complex financial analysis projects to summarize current and projected financial information.
  • Research and prepare financial reports.
  • Manage and review monthly financial analysis's preparation, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of budgets and forecasts.
  • Establish, modify, document, and implement methods and control procedures.
  • Assist other analysts, consultants, and managers with complex analysis.
  • Share technical expertise with others. Recommend process improvements. Provide functional advice or training to less experienced financial analysts.

Requirements:

Experience Needed
  • Broad knowledge of the core Finance principles and basic understanding of the corporate accounting process (forecast, invoicing, chargeback, accruals...etc.), preferably experience and/or understanding of IT.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver own output, exercising judgment and discretion consistently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or related business field.
  • 5+ years' experience, accounting and finance experience preferred; some financial management experience required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative data analysis; ability to use complex data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Strong to expert skills in data transformation using MS Excel or Access
  • Ability to work well both independently and in teams
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal
