Job Description:

Our client, an established Financial Institution in Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Wealth Manager and Trust Officer for their management team. They will be responsible for managing and driving financial planning process for the company’s high net work clients, to support long term planning needs and goals. They will be leading/managing business development of the department.

  • Lead Financial Planning Process to further client base’s strategic goals, progress, and optimize opportunities to grow assets
  • Present customized plans tailored to each client’s needs and circumstances; such as estate planning, education planning, tax issues, insurance planning, and goal analysis
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining strong client relationships to retain/expand existing and new client base, while tracking their successes
  • Develop new sales opportunities through variety of channels internally/externally and cross sell
  • Provide meeting preparation financial plan construction, meeting follow-up and client service
  • Develop retention strategies for at risk accounts
  • Utilize financial planning software and cash flow analysis programs
  • Review and finalize client presentations to provide improvement recommendations
  • Prepare marketing presentations materials, driving business development through community and professional networks
  • Manage all administrative and fiduciary functions, reviewing trust documents, providing summary of trust powers
  • Process discretionary distribution requests, administer account reviews annually, and review client/bank documentation for compliance
  • Lead and promote employee development, training, and education

Requirements:


  • 5-10 years of relevant financial planning experience
  • Hold CFP (Certified Financial Planning) Certificate
  • Proven track record of successful client relationships and business development
