The Trust & Estates Paralegal is responsible for the management and timely production of a high volume of complex, detailed work involving estate administration, trust administration, and fiduciary accounting. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently while also handling the administration of an estate from beginning-to-end in addition to collaborating with attorneys as needed. The Trust & Estates Paralegal must possess superior mathematical skills, sound organizational skills, and strong technical skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, gather and value assets and prepare various documents related to both probate and accounting
  • Prepare accountings for both estates and trusts as needed
  • Prepare death tax returns, including the federal estate tax return and state estate tax returns
  • Review and interpret wills and trust agreements, in collaboration with attorneys, to implement the plan during the estate and trust administration process and to fund trusts
  • Must be able to use reference materials and perform basic research using a variety of different resources
