Financial Analyst
Job Description:
A growing manufacturer and distributor of building products in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support its financial planning, reporting, and operational performance efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced small business environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The company is on-site five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting across departments
- Develop financial models for business planning and investment analysis
- Monitor financial performance vs. budgets and forecasts
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and assess project financial impacts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations
- Support audits, tax filings, and compliance tasks
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or budgeting
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Power Query)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, NetSuite) preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and discretion with sensitive data
