Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. The (“FP&A”) team provides critical financial analysis and planning support across multiple lines of business. Our client seeks a seasoned FP&A professional for a 6-8 month temporary engagement.

This intensive support role within a multifaceted FP&A group will involve in-depth analysis in a data-driven environment to help drive company performance. This role will work with business leaders and other finance stakeholders to conduct financial forecasting/ budgeting and variance analyses across the company’s Talent Relations & Development, Global Partnerships, Live Events, and Marketing areas. Moreover, the role offers the opportunity to acquire a 'big picture' view of our client's performance while at the same time improving processes to drive forecasting/budgeting efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support corporate planning processes – monthly forecast/ accounting close cycle, and the annual operating budget.
  • Use tools and systems to coordinate with the Insights & Analytics group to quickly access data and present significant, concise information to various levels of management.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial models with a coordinated set of financial documents, assumptions, and metrics. Perform sensitivity analyses to assess a reasonable range of outcomes.
  • Assist in special projects as needed for senior finance and business management deliverables.
  • Understanding key business drivers while presenting operating/financial performance.
  • Aid in developing thoughtful and easy-to-follow presentations to optimally communicate ideas to key partners.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3-4 years of relevant work experience. Advertising & Sponsorship and/or Live Event finance experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. MBA preferred.
  • Experience with business financial analysis, including financial planning, and ongoing performance monitoring; strong understanding of general accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities; possess high integrity.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding skills with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Financial database knowledge such as TM1, Hyperion, and Hubble a big plus.
