Generalist

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an HR Generalist/Operations Manager to join their team in Greenwich, CT.

You'll engage directly with employees to provide excellent support across a wide array of HR practices. You'll answer general policy, practice, and compensation and benefit questions for employees. You'll also help with the onboarding, development, and offboarding activities.
You'll develop your HR career by helping to execute a people strategy, designing effective benefits programs, and managing third-party vendors. You'll develop a keen understanding of delivering effective HR in the US and the UK.
You'll immediately contribute to a small HR team that is a valued and well-integrated element of the wider Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions from employees.
  • Drive recruitment by working with hiring managers, engaging with agencies, managing the interview process, and extending offers.
  • Manage the onboarding (including orientation) and offboarding processes.
  • Assist managers with the annual performance management cycle.
  • Maintain, improve, and implement HR procedures and policies.
  • Ensure employee records are accurate, up to date, and compliant in our HRIS system.
  • Develop a deep understanding of benefit packages to help select appropriate options for the company.
  • Partner closely with the Controller and other Management Company teams to deliver a seamless HR experience for employees.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications
  • You'll have at least 5 years of progressive HR experience - probably in a similarly-sized firm and ideally in the Alternative Investments (or wider Financial) sector.
  • You demonstrate a unique balance of HR Operational excellence and traditional HR Generalist skills, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to take care of the task at hand.
  • You have remarkable organizational and time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • You exhibit outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and understand what exceptional customer service will mean to employees.
