SUMMARY
We seek a skilled T ax Preparer specializing in 1040 tax returns to join our client, a reputable CPA firm based in North Haven, CT. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in individual tax preparation and be committed to delivering accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings for our clients. This role requires attention to detail, a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and review individual tax returns, primarily focusing on Form 1040, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Gather necessary financial information from clients to complete tax returns, including income statements, expense documents, and relevant tax forms.
  • Conduct tax research to stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring accurate application during the preparation process.

    QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor`s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • Proven experience in individual tax preparation, focusing on Form 1040.
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (UltraTax) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
