VP, Operational Risk
Job Description:
Our client, a global investment management firm with 25+ years of experience, seeks to hire a Vice President for its Operational Risk department. Reporting to the head of the department, this role will have various responsibilities.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and lead SOC 1 testing of firmwide controls by liaising with external
auditors and internal departments across the firm - Execute the Vendor Risk Management program, including onboarding,
assessments, due diligence meetings, issue identification, and action plans. - Adapt and develop programs as needed based on internal requirements and
applicable regulation - Assist with NFA Self-Assessment and SWIFT Self-Assessment
- Assist with operational risk event capture and remediation process.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 + years of experience in the financial services industry- Experience in an auditing function, compliance testing, regulatory review, vendor
risk and/or operational risk. - Knowledge of alternative investment strategies and a wide range of asset classes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to critique risks and controls provided
by business units and identify areas for meaningful process improvement - Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Fusion software a plus.
