Medical Billing Coder
Job Description:
Local Medical office looking to hire a temp to perm CPC or CPCA Medical Billing Coder.
Must be able to work in both locations in Trumbull and Fairfield.
Hours- 8:30 am-5:30 pm
Our client is a healthcare organization committed to delivering top-quality services to our patients. They are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join their Billing Department. Certificate must be Hema or APC, American Professional Coders.
Responsibilities:
- Post charges, payments, and refunds accurately.
- Handle denial claim follow-up and accounts receivable/payable.
- Conduct credentialing, transmit claims, and manage prior authorizations.
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and clearinghouses.
- Assist with monthly closing, auditing notes, and daily deposits.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in medical billing and coding.
- Proficiency in billing software and EMR systems. Their Certificate must be Hema or APC, American Professional Coders.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes and insurance claims.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
