Job Summary:
The Product Manager
with 8-20 years of experience will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of skilled engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met. This position best suits a candidate who will help us develop and supplement growth strategies. This is a newly created position because of growth. The VP of Products will mentor this person for 6-12 months. He is one of the top 5 in the world and has knowledge about this industry. Core office hours: 9 am-5 pm. The VP comes in 7 am-3:30 pm.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely feedback to the team.

    Duties/Responsibilities
  • Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations, including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.
  • Facilitates communication among internal clients and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Serves as project manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
  • Implements and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepares and executes departmental budget.
  • Negotiates contracts with outside vendors.
  • Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software & Woodworking( CNC) machines
  • Experience with industrial woodworking machinery or CNC machines preferred.

    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor`s degree in industrial, mechanical, or civil engineering or
  • Business degree with leadership experience in furniture manufacturing, millwork, kitchen design, architecture, or industrial design
  • At least 8 years of experience required.

    Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Salary: $130,000-170,000 annually, negotiable. Discretionary bonus in December.
