Job Description:

White Plains, NY firm seeking A/P Clerk

Temp to Perm position

Salary $50-60K depending on experience.
Current schedule is 4 days in office, 1 day remote. Company will be in office 5 days from March-June (our busy season).

Pay rate $21/$22/$23

Candidates MUST be vaccinated.

General Responsibilities:
The primary role of the AP Clerk is to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. Their role is to receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices.

Specific Duties:

  • Receive bills of lading and other documentation via email or physical mail
  • Process and verify for accuracy
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Charges expenses to accounts and costs centers by analyzing the invoice/expense reports
  • Codes invoices accurately
  • Processes and enters 200-400 invoices per week depending on season and volume
  • Schedules and prepares checks/wires/ACH payments
  • Identifies and resolves contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents
  • Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation
  • Responds promptly and appropriately to all vendor inquiries
  • Assists in month end close process to help complete close according to schedule
  • Handles special projects as assigned

    Accounting/Logistics Cross Functional Duties:
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy; Makes changes/corrections to system(s) as needed

    Requirements:

    Qualification Requirements:
  • A four-year degree in Accounting, or 2 years equivalent working experience
  • Ability to prioritize multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Capable of being an effective team member and display initiative
  • Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other employees within the company
  • Must exhibit professionalism when communicating with third parties
