Westport, CT company looking to hire a temp to perm Accounts Payable Coordinator
Position Overview
The accounts payable coordinator is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of good and services. The accounts payable coordinator also complies and maintains accounts payable records.

Responsibilities:

  • Processed invoices into computer application systems
  • Follow up on day to day inquiries from employees and vendors
  • Manage expense reports from start to finish
  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Create and update vendors in the various systems
  • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payables files
  • Process client refund requests ensuring it contains all required documentation and approvals
  • Process check requests
  • Attend staff meetings once monthly
  • Manage Concur transactions including extracting data from concur and entering it into GP
  • Trained new hires on utilizing the Concur system for entering and managing expenses
  • Maintain Smartsheet for utility bills
  • Process credit applications for all new hospitals
  • Setup new hospitals with pet Vet approved vendors
  • Open and sort mail daily
  • Assist in monthly closings
  • Scanning and filing information
  • Occasionally assist manager with paying hospital utility bills
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Associates Degree in Accounting -Preferred
  • Previous experience using Concur-Preferred
  • Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience with Smartsheet-a plus
  • Will be required to work till 7pm 1-2 days a week
